The modern kitchen amidst old quarry stone walls offers a unique atmosphere for cooking while the fire flickers in the fireplace. The kitchen has an induction stove and gas hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher.

A quick breakfast for two, a little hideaway for a very special conversation, a retreat in the midst of old beauties, it shows what it can do: be delicate and beautiful. A cozy place in a big house. Wow! The top floor! Old meets new, tradition meets design. Inspiration and relaxation through openness and light. Roll out your yoga mat, fire up the jukebox or enjoy your first morning coffee in the sun on the balconette balcony. The beautiful view of the Eifel landscape, the most characteristic mountains of the Eifel right in front of your nose. Whether meeting up to watch TV or enjoying a long night of games … This is the top floor.
On the first floor is the fireplace room with a wood-burning stove. The old sacristy cupboard is reminiscent of the times when the vicar wrote his sermons by the fireplace. You can spend long evenings by the fire with friends over a glass of gin and tonic or red wine.

About accommodation
“Das Gloria” is located in the middle of the Eifel region above the Ahr valley and belongs to the municipality of Blankenheim. It can be reached from Cologne in an hour by car, and the Nürburgring is 20 kilometers away.
The old rectory in Uedelhoven was built in 1807 and is a listed building. During the renovation in 2024, old treasures were uncovered, such as the old fireplaces and sandstones that were hidden under plaster. The large house with 170 square meters of living space and a large, fenced garden with sauna house and terrace is ideal for families, hiking enthusiasts, bikers and fans of the nearby Nürburgring.
Our values
In all our activities, we pay attention to the preservation and maintenance of the old (building) substance and see the issue of sustainability as an overall concept. That is why in this object many old objects, but especially ceilings, floors and walls correspond perfectly with the modern and classic furniture and furnishings.
Establishment
The high-quality furniture was carefully selected. Some of the old lamps could be preserved. The Bakelite rotary switches are also a reminiscence of the “good old days” and simply fit this beautiful object. Incidentally, emphasis is placed on modern technology to enjoy the comfort of living in the best possible way.
